Domino’s Pizza reported third-quarter 2026 results on October 13, the first quarter under chief executive Joe Jordan. The release shows global retail sales growth of 3.2% excluding currency, down from 6.3% a year earlier.

Same-store sales stall

U.S. same-store sales grew 0.3% and international same-store sales 0.2%. U.S. retail sales were $2.37 billion and international $2.47 billion. The system added 175 net stores, 26 in the U.S. and 149 abroad. Income from operations increased 8.3%, or 8.4% excluding a small currency effect on international royalties.

The new CEO’s framing

Jordan said the company’s opportunity is to get closer to customers, help franchisees grow profitability, and turn its best performance into everyday performance. The release does not change long-term targets.

Analyst reaction

Reports of brokerage notes after the results describe a series of price-target reductions with ratings mostly unchanged: Bernstein to $340 from $390 (Market Perform), Morgan Stanley to $345 from $357 (Equal Weight), BofA to $410 from $455 (Buy), Citi to $308 from $335 (Neutral), BMO to $390 from $420 (Outperform), RBC to $320 from $325, and Mizuho to $380 from $420 (Outperform). The recurring theme in those notes, as reported, was that traffic gains have not yet produced meaningful sales or franchisee profit growth and that new-store growth is slowing. What to compare next

For readers following DPZ, flat same-store sales with operating income up 8% means the profit growth is coming from unit growth and cost control rather than demand. The fourth-quarter same-store number will show whether the new management’s changes reach customers quickly.
