Microsoft Stock News: Fabric IQ Reaches Copilot General Availability

Microsoft announced data-platform updates on September 28 at its European Fabric and SQL community conference. The changes center on connecting AI tools to an organization's existing business information.
What is generally available?
Microsoft says Fabric IQ in Copilot Chat and Cowork is generally available. It grounds answers in governed Power BI semantic models, including the definitions and relationships behind company reports, while preserving existing access controls.
SQL Server on Azure Local is also generally available, according to the announcement.
Preview is not the same as broad availability
IQ Sharing and Database Hub in Fabric remain preview offerings. Microsoft separately describes disconnected operations for SQL Server on Azure Local as a preview. Those status differences matter when assessing what customers can deploy.
For MSFT stock, this is a product-distribution update, not evidence of a specified revenue increase. Customer use, commercial terms and subsequent financial disclosures are needed to assess the business impact.
