GoodRx Holdings and the advertising-technology firm Criteo have agreed to a $32 million settlement with GoodRx users, according to OpenClassActions. U.S. District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín of the Northern District of California granted preliminary approval on September 8, 2026, provisionally certified a nationwide class, and appointed A.B. Data as administrator.

What the lawsuit alleged

The plaintiffs said that when people used GoodRx for discount coupons and telehealth, the company collected prescription, health-condition and contact details and disclosed them to advertising and analytics companies through pixels, software kits, cookies and interfaces from Criteo, Meta Platforms and Google. GoodRx and Criteo deny the allegations and deny violating any law. A settlement is a compromise, not a finding of wrongdoing.

Key dates

Claims, requests for exclusion and objections are all due December 29, 2026. The final approval hearing is set for February 11, 2027. Notice must begin no later than October 30, 2026. As of October 21 the settlement website was showing a maintenance page; the administrator said claims submitted during testing were rejected and that filing begins when notice goes out.

Why it matters for the stock

For readers following GDRX, $32 million is the headline cost, but the operating question is whether the data-sharing practices at issue have changed and what that means for advertising revenue. GoodRx previously paid a $1.5 million civil penalty to the Federal Trade Commission in 2023 over similar conduct. The settlement names META and GOOGL as recipients of the data, not as defendants.
